Workshop Week – Sunday 21st October 2012

Well, we’re finally here! After months of writing and planning tomorrow we begin workshops on ‘The Good Enough Mums Club’ written by Emily Beecher and Sally Samad. It’s an awesome trek through the ups and downs of motherhood and takes you from poignant lows to hilarious highs – sounds like a plug but this is so much fun.

Arriving in London today I spent much of the time fleshing out the opening ensemble number which is (minor spoiler) a fun tango all about pregnancy. Hmmm!!

Our fab MD Simon Lambert put his awesome transcription skills to the test and created a score right in front of us; we’re really lucky to have him and can’t wait to see what he brings to the workshop next week.

I will post all the details about the GEMC showcase tomorrow!

But let’s not forget that Bridges also begins tomorrow at The MTA (The Stage School of the Year) and I’m so excited to see what these amazing students can bring to our 4 year musical in the making!

Right. Up at 7am and now it’s time for bed … Or maybe more writing! Who knows!!
